I found this site; http://www.oddcast.com/home/ It is full of virtual characters you can use to personalise your website, by having your character make an introductory speech, for example, or even make your own scene.

It’s not cheap, but free to register an account, and quite funny to play around with

If you do chose a paid account, you can upload your own picture, record your own voice, and make yourself “come alive” on your own web page.

No, I’ve no financial interest in it myself, but thought I’d share it
